Wee Care Therapy was founded in 1994 by Susan Swindeman, an occupational therapist. We have quickly grown to be one of the largest pediatric intervention service providers in northwest Indiana and the southern Chicago suburbs. We are honored to employ highly-regarded professionals who are respected in their fields, and to be considered a model treatment facility. Our highest honor is achieved when a child smiles after learning a new skill, and the family recognizes the difference.
Today, Wee Care Therapy is a part of the Liberty POST & Liberty Resources family.
Mission Statement
We succeed when the child blossoms and the family recognizes the difference!
We do this by:
– Creating an environment of trust, respect, and care
– Hiring highly qualified professionals who are committed to ongoing education
– Involving, empowering and supporting the child’s family and caregivers
– Providing state-of-the-art services and a model treatment center
Our Philosophy
As Wee Care Therapy service providers, we pride ourselves on our child centered, yet therapist guided approach to therapy. We listen to concerns, embrace individuality, respect preferences, empower families, and truly care to make a difference in the quality of lives. At Wee Care Therapy, we are dedicated to providing a respectful and caring atmosphere in which your child and family can blossom.
It is our commitment to provide high quality pediatric intervention services for your child and family. The services that we offer include Developmental Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Speech Therapy, and Behavioral Services. Ultimately, through our services and our partnership with you, we aim to improve or restore your child’s health, safety, and independence in everyday life.
We take a personal approach with each child. We consult with you during the initial evaluation, and keep communication open with you during the treatment process to ensure that your child is getting the most out of services at Wee Care Therapy. We also keep in touch with you to make sure the adaptations that you make at home are effective.
We believe in continued learning and sharing knowledge. Through ongoing education, we expand our professional expertise, empower families, and educate the community through seminars on areas of child development.
